The story of Hitech Chemicals started in 1986, by Mr Syd Naidoo and his brother, Mr Jeevaruthnum Naidoo, who founded the company and over the years have established many other allied companies. The amalgamation of these companies is called the Chemgroup. The Chemgroup’s headquarters are based in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, with no less than 15 private operational companies; which elevates this group of companies to the level of being one of the largest contributors to the KZN GDP by a single group.

The Chemgroup dream was not born of the desire for personal enrichment, but rather of an aspiration to leave a legacy that would be empowering and sustainable for future generations. The Chemgroup further aims to be a significant cog in the Government’s National Development Plan (NDP) of 2030.

It is therefore no coincedence that the Chemgroup’s group of companies, clearly understands the exciting challenges and aims to be a confident contributor to the National Development Plans of South Africa. We are wholeheartedly convinced that we will become a leading force, not only within Africa, but globally, as many of their resources are still unexplored.
